So here is my guide to making pretty shoes:
You Need:
A pair of ballerina pumps
Ribbon (matching colour/shade to the shoes you want to add ribbon to)
A sewing machine (or needle if you don't want have one)
First of all, decide where you want to place the ribbons.... I choose to put the first set just at the end of the arch of my foot, and the back pair of ribbons, a few cm's from that... I am using the two crosses to the left
Taking some ribbon (I kept mine on the spool), stitch the ribbon to the inside of the shoe. When it is stitched, then cut the ribbon approximately 50cm from the shoe, and then slight fold over the end and stitch that down (to stop the ribbon from fraying).. Repeat this for each marking on the shoe (4 in total)... repeat this method for the other shoe too.
Et voila.... Pretty ballerina shoes :-)
Hope you enjoy.. if you decide to try this or something similar put up a picture for me to see...On a side note... guess who turned up at my university yesturday...... *drum roll* The Queen!... I am likely to be going to chapel with her on Sunday too, so was thinking of wearing these shoes with a pretty dress.... provided I pass the police registration!
Cute! :)

DeleteYour ballerina shoes look very cute! ^^
ReplyDeleteI did ballet for 13 years, so I have a few of those, but they were all nude colour. I always dreamed of wearing black, but we weren't allowed x__x
Plus yours are cooler, because you made them yourself :P
Love! xx

ReplyDeleteIt may of looked easy..... it wasn't... the sewing machine kept jamming because I am not that clued up on how to use one... I showed my friend the next day and she wondered why I didn't just save myself the time and agro by using a needle and thread....
